Lush Haul

LUSH!

Do I have to say anything else? Halloween and Christmas lush products are my favourite! I always seem to spend so much money in Lush around this time of year so today's blogpost is going to be a collective lush haul.

Bath Bombs

So I bought a fair few bath bombs in lush and thats totally fine with me! If you're new to the whole lush experience a bath bomb simply fizzes different colours in warm bath water and some can have lots of nourishing ingredients, however, if you're a lush lover you obviously have seen the new sparkler and northern lights bath bombs out in the halloween collection. I have used the sparkler and other than changing your bath water a funny yellow-y orange-y colour it is so nourishing and makes you smell fab!
I also picked up some Christmas bath bombs but personally I prefer the bubble bars. So White and Butterbear were the only Christmas themed bombs I picked up on this visit.

Bubble Bars

Bubble bars are my favourite things to buy from lush, probably because I'm still 5 and love to play with bubbles. Basically you break off a chunk of the bar and crumble it under running water until it creates mountains of bubbles. I bought Christmas Eve, Drummers Drumming, The Christmas Penguin, Magic Wand and Candy Mountain! Plus thats only the Christmas themed bars. As for the normal bars I also bought Brightside and A French Kiss.

Bath Melts

So I've never been into the bath melts from lush even though they are literally heaven for your skin! I decided to give them a try so I picked up Melting Snowman and Star Light Star Bright.  OH EM GEE HAVE I BEEN MISSING OUT! I never released how soothing a bath melt is. My skin really feels super soft and luxurious after using them!

Anyways, I haven't tried all of the products yet but when I do I could do a follow-up post to let you all know what I thought about each thing and if I would recommend them? Leave me a comment and let me know!

My FALL changes

Fall is here!! Out of all the seasons fall is definitely my favourite of them all! (hey that rhymed) Anyways, I would like to tell you about some products I've been loving recently from the changing of the seasons.

The air is getting colder now, that means skin is getting dryer and hair is becoming more straw like and damaged. At least that is what happens with me this time of year. So I am going to go through some of my favourite products that keep my skin, hair and body nourished and protected from this chilly weather.

Skin

So my skincare routine has slightly changed for the fall time and this means I need to use products that are much more moisturising. The Body Shop has been my go to place for my skincare products. I always felt that the body shop was for 'ladies' and more 'mature' customers so it never really appealed to me until I saw VelvetGh0st rave about the camomile cleansing gel and I felt that I had to give it a try. Turns out I'm in looooooove with it!! It removes all of my makeup so effortlessly and makes me feel squeeky clean. After I use my cleansing gel I need to use a strong moisturiser and I have been using Estee Lauders advanced night repair, nSpa's nourising night cream and Benefit's it's potient eye cream. This trio is more on the pricy side but I always tell people that putting more effort and money towards skincare rather than makeup is going to benefit you in the long run.

Hair

So when it comes to haircare I don't have a very complex routine. I don't use any fancy high end products because I have found some high street beauties that work just as well. I wash and condition my hair with Pantene Repair and Protect. I use this conditioner on the ends of my hair and then use Lee Stafford hair that never grows past a certain length deep conditioning treatment on the routs of my hair only. This conditioner doesn't make my hair greasy or more oily because its more nourishing and gentle than a normal deep conditioner. Other products I use are for helping my hair to be protected from the cold air is the macadamia healing oil treatment on the tips of my hair for a little extra protection and the treseme colour protect and shine serum. Nothing fancy or complicated just quick, easy and simple.

Body

Having a body heading sounds kinda weird but you know what I mean. With it being fall obviously I have to go to lush to get the halloween and christmas bath beauties but I'll make a separate blogpost about all of those. I recently used the sparkler bath bomb and OH EM GEE! IT IS AMAZING! I didn't think that it would be that exciting and to be fair it turns your bath a yellow-y orange-y colour with loads of sparkles and glitter and the result is so nice. My skin feels so smooth and I smell pretty dang good too. When I get out of the bath I use my body shop olive butter because its perfectly nourishing for the dryer patches on my body.

In all honesty I don't have the most exciting routines but I love to try new products and the fall time is the perfect time to make changes.

I'll see you guys on my next post!

2 grunge 4 u

Hello my loves. So as we all know everyone has their own sense of style and personality. Today I'm here for the more edgy girls. I know not everyone is into the floral, neon, colourful, girly things and to tell you the truth I don't even like things like that. I prefer black, dark, vampy, edgy styles but, i'm here to please everyone!

Welcome to '2 grunge 4 u!'

Having the 'grunge' look is all about being unique, different and 100% you! Wearing dark, vampy colours and always having the best accessories! You don't to do anything illegal or be rude and unapproachable to have an edgy style. You just need to be confident in yourself and your style.

Makeup

It doesn't matter what season it is, you can always rock a dark vampy lip colour and look amazing. You just need to be confident enough to pull it off.

MAC's Cyber is a dark satin purple that almost resembles a black colour. Diva is a little safer if you don't feel like having as dark a colour on your lips as it's a matte vampy red. Perfect for everyday wear day or night.

Winged liner is a must for me! I don't leave the house without my wings. To create any strong wing or cat eye shape you need a good liner.

They're real push up liner is an essential to create the perfect wing and cat eye liner looks! It's jet black, smudge proof... waterproof... sweat proof... it's BULLET PROOF! You can create so many looks with this baby because it's so easy to use. From simple to edgy why wouldn't this be a must have?

Having two staple makeup pieces like dark eyeliner and lipstick create a unique and edgy look for anyone wanting to change their style.

A quick update!

Hey guys! Here is a little update for y'all.

As some of you may know I started my new job at Benefit cosmetics and can I just say it's amazing! I love the people, the hours, the whole experience has been amazing so far. (other than being put on payroll but thats being fixed!)

However that means my 'free summer days' are not so free anymore. Work has been crazy busy and it takes up so many hours in my day that i've neglected my blog a little more than I should. So tonight I will be writing as many blogs as I can so I cant just post them every few days! (that's the plan at least)

Because I haven't actually explained my job fully here's a break down.
I work for benefit cosmetics in my local boots beauty hall, I work with four other amazing girls and alongside three other brands. I am a benefit BA (beauty adviser) which is just a fancy way for saying i sell stuff haha. I guess you could say I work in cosmetic retail and it's the best thing for me.

Day one of being part of the benefit team I knew I was in the right place for me!

                            Thanks for Reading!

P.S, I've just realised i've never posted a selfie on here! haha, oh well hi! x

How to make your summer one to remember

The other day I was talking to my friend while we were on the bus into town. As well as having some girly chats we were talking about how we can make summer as good as possible. She said to me that she has a 2014 summer bucket list which gave me the inspiration to write this blogpost and write a summer bucket list of my own. Some of these things are copies of her but they seem like fun!

2014 Summer Bucket List

1. Go pier jumping
2. Have a summer party (with a bouncy castle - yes I'm still 5 years old)
3. Go abroad
4. Write lots of blogposts for all y'all :)
5. Have a picnic at Haddow House
6. Have lots of BBQ's
7. Get Fitter! Be Healthier! Be Happier!
8. Go camping with friends
9. Go to the beach
10. Take lots of pictures and make lots of memory's
11. Get to 1k on instagram (not really summery but I think it could happen)
12. Go for late summer walks as much as possible
13. Go for a cycle along the railway line
14. Spend lots of time with my friends and family instead of locking myself in my room all month.
15. Join a gym. Or do home exercises.
16. Make this a summer to remember!

Thats my bucket list so far but I'm sure ill think of more things I want to do before the holidays.

Make this summer one to remember. Write a list of everything you want to do and stick to it until the end. Bring it on summer 2k14!

Changing your lifestyle

Now, I'm probably one of the last people to be giving advice for getting fitter but, I want to change. Deciding you want to loose weight or just be healthier in general isn't about running for an hour and having some rabbit food every once and a while. It's all about changing your lifestyle. Start planning now and start changing your lifestyle today so when it comes to summer its a routine. You don't need to jump into a crazy gym membership and live there all day everyday. You start off slowly, only making a few changes to your diet and exercise routine.

Exercise
Make yourself a weekly plan of exactly what you want to do. If anyone knows me I love to be organised and I always make lists of everything I need to do. Plan your week, a week ahead. Decide what you want to do and grab a friend to join you if you need that little extra motivation. Here is a little idea of my new exercise timetable.

Monday - Go for a run after school
Tuesday - After school gym with Erin, Eilidh and Lydia for DofE
Wednesday - Recovery day
Thursday - Drama Club (not really exercise but it gets you up on your feet for 2 hours)
Friday - Go for a run after school or use youtube fitness routines
Saturday - Recovery
Sunday - Swimming with Eilidh

A simple timetable like this is easy to stick to and doing it with friends makes it more enjoyable to continue.

Diet
Having a balanced diet it extremely important to keeping a healthy lifestyle. However this is not the time to starve yourself of everything and only eat lettuce everyday. Everything in moderation.

Step one - Drink a glass of water as soon as you wake up. I drink water a lot and I love having some in the morning because it wakes me up. In the morning everyone has to pee. Drinking a glass of water before you pee flushes out all of the bad stuff from your body and the water adds clean stuff into your body. If that made any sense?
Step two - Eat Breakfast every morning!! I am so bad at doing this but having something like a breakfast bar or a banana can fuel you enough for your next meal and kick starts your metabolism for the day.
Step three -  Lunch is pretty important during the day and being at school its really difficult to eat a balanced or even a healthy lunch! It's best to bring your own lunch to work or school so you have complete control of what is going into your body. If you can't do this everyday thats fine just stay away from foods with high fat and sodium content.
Step four - Dinnertime is where you pile on the veggies and get rid of the carbs. Carbohydrates take hours to burn through your body and need to be exercised off because they are placed in your body as part of fat. Keeping away from strach-y food at dinner is better for you because you can't burn it all off while your'e sleeping. Eating some form of protein, meat or vegetable can give you a balanced meal at the end of the day.
Step five - Snacking throughout the day is something we all do but are we actually hungry or just bored? If you ever feel like you need a snack your'e body is telling you that it needs water. Drinking water throughout the day decreases the amount of food you eat and reduces bloating. If after your water you still want something, grab some fruit, a yoghurt or put it all together and make a smoothie. Simple and good for you.

So after a pretty long blogpost how are you feeling? Are you going to change your lifestyle or just feel better about yourself?

Love,
Caitlin x

Benefit Must Haves

Guys!! OMG!! I'm a benebabe!! I applied for a job at Benefit cosmetics and after a long, long, long interview process I am officially a BA for benefit cosmetics. I also think this is the perfect time to tell you about benefit must haves.

The POREfessional is not only one of benefits number one products but I use it everyday because it's AMAZING! The POREfessional minimises the look of pores, blurs your imperfections, keeps makeup lasting all day, plus it keeps you matte and shine free.

Benefits bigger than BB is perfection in a tube. I was given some samples and fell in love. I'm not a huge fan of the oxygen wow foundation because there isn't a shade light enough for me. (I'm a ghost, not kidding) So when I tried the BB cream I was very sceptical because I didn't know if it would work for me, but it blends perfectly into my skin, has a liquid to powder finish and has SPF 35!

Rockature box'd blush is definitely my favourite blush of them all. All of the box'd powders are great but I always reach for rockature for some reason. Idky? Rockature has the best packaging and is rose gold colour. You could apply it as a simmer-y highlight or use it as a rosy contour or use it as a blush. It's a completely multi-use product!

They're Real! Okay, number one selling mascara in not only the UK but the world!! Benefit sells this mascara at 1 every 10 seconds! It's crazy but I completely understand why. It lengthens, separates, volumises and does everything in-between. Its plastic double brush makes application simple and a few coats gives you false looking lashes in seconds.

Benefit launched new hydraiting tinted lip balms a few weeks ago and they are perfect. They give subtle colour and have a gorgeous shine to them. There are 4 balms and they correspond with the matching lip and cheek stain. Benetint = Benebalm, Lolitint = Lolibalm and it goes on. I find the best thing to do is to take the tint and apply it to my lips and then apply the matching balm.

Here are some benefit must haves that I highly recommend to anyone wanting to expand their collection.

My Netflix Addiction

Okay guys. I have to admit something. There is no need to hide it anymore. My name is Caitlin, and im addicted to Netflix.

Haha! Only joking, but in all seriousness I do have a tiny problem. Everyday when I get ready for school, going out, at the weekend, I bundle myself up and sit for hours and hours on end. My friend calls it the black hole because its almost impossible to stop watching a show because the next episode is right there waiting for you!

I have had a Netflix subscription for 6 months and have completed 4 seasons of the Vampire Diaries (anxiously waiting for season 5!) 2 seasons of Scrubs, Grimm and Orange is the new black plus dozens and dozens of movies because there are literally hundreds to watch and choose from!

I have become emotionally attached to some of these shows and it's so bad! I have no social life anyway but this has made it 10x worse because i'd rather sit in my room with food and Netflix than do anything else.

Out of all the TV subscriptions that are out there I think Netflix gives you the best for your money. Not even kidding. It's great. Trust me.

Message to Netflix - Please listen to me and release the 5th season of the Vampire Diaries!!! And release Dance Moms!! I hate having to wait every week for the next episode... too many feels

10 Summer Must Haves - Part Two

6. Having too much powder on your face isn't the smartest idea during the hot summer weather. Cream blush or cheek tints is the best way to go! NYX rouge cream blush is the ideal solution to stop your makeup looking all cakey and gross. These blushes come in so many different colours, they are 100% waterproof and sweat proof plus they are only £5.50 on the NYX website. BARGIN!

7. Nobody wants to wear heavy lipsticks or sticky lip glosses during the summertime. That's why lip stains are the way to go. I am a huge lipstick fan but I have a soft spot for Rimmel 100 Kisses lip stains in my collection. They come in so many different colours and last hours and hours! With a clear balm on the end of the stain a little shine is perfectly fine. (like my rhyme guys?) These stains retail for £5.99 from your local boots and superdrug. My favourite colour is 'Carry On Cherry' its a perfect cherry red that looks like you've been eating a cherry ice lolly!

8. Fragrance and perfume are different for everyone. They are all personal preference and just like makeup products different brands come out with seasonal fragerances every few months. One that will never go out of style will be Marc Jacobs Daisy Eu So Fresh retailing for  £51.50 for 75ml. It's light and fresh scent suits so many people and is easy to wear throughout summer.

9. SUGAR CRUSH! omg can we just take a minute to drool over this amazing duo! Sugar Crush is my favourite scent from soap and glory. It smells like a mix of cream soda and lime! Super fresh but also really sweet! I have had two of the body washes and always repurchase them! The Buttercream is aimed for dry skin but I thinks it works for all skin types. It's one of the only scent combos I've tried that lasts until your next wash. The Body wash is £6.50 and the buttercream is £10.50.

10. My last summer must have is hair dye! Summer is where you can change up your look, get experimental and be creative. I dyed my hair red summer of 2012 and Feria Preference by Loreal is the dye I highly recommend for people going for red hair. The colour is Scarlet power P67. It nourishes, keeps hair healthy and gives intense shine and even colour. Its £5.89 from boots and is definitely my favourite boxed dye.

That's my top 10 summer must haves for 2014. I hope you enjoyed this two part blog post and I might do some more in the future.

10 Summer Must Haves - Part One

Summer is here and that means its the perfect time to step out of your comfort zone and try a new fresh makeup look and change up your style. Here are some perfect summer products from the
highstreet and highend store's.

1. Loreal Lumi Magique Primer is the perfect summer glow in a handy pumped bottle. This can be used a dewy face primer or can be used on top of your makeup to add a healthy summer glow. With only being £9.99 I feel it is a must have this summer and is a perfect dupe for Benefits High beam.

2. Garnier BB Cream is great way to get coverage in the summer but not feel all cakey and gross throughout the day. I have tried so many drugstore BB Creams and I haven't found one that works as well as this one. Plus its only £7.99. It gives a light to medium coverage but feels so light and comfortable on he skin. The packaging is a squeeze bottle and makes the product come out much easier than a glass jar and it's the perfect size for traveling.

3. If a BB Cream isn't enough coverage for you I highly suggest using MAC Studio Fix powder. This powder has a full coverage and a matte finnish. This powder can be worn on its own because it creates such a flawless finish. This powder is on the pricey side being £21.50 but so worth it. Even with the summer heat dewy skin is on trend but oily skin is not! Remember to set you makeup with a powder regardless so your makeup lasts all day.

4. Who wants racoon eyes?! I sure don't! That's why we need to beat the heat with some waterproof mascara to stop the racoon eyes from happening throughout the day. From experience I find that waterproof mascara holds a curl better and as the name suggests it, it doesn't smear all down your face because it's waterproof. Another summer staple retailing at £7.99 from boots.

5. Cream eyeshadow is another summer staple. It's waterproof, easy to apply, comes in so many colours and you can find it in highend and highstreet stores. Benefit creaseless cream shadows are exactly what they say. Cream shadows that don't crease! I never need to set these shadows and they don't seem to melt off in the hot summer days. These shadows retail for £15.50! Pretty steep but Maybelline do identical cream shadows for a fraction of the price for only £7.99.

Part one of top 10 summer must haves!

Creating a Custom MAC pallet

So I went into town recently and popped to my local MAC store and to my surprise it was dead! Maybe it's because it was a Tuesday morning but I knew I didn't have to rush.

I've been thinking about depotting my MAC single shadows for a long time to create my own pro pallet. I was going to buy the pre-made warm/cool toned pallets but then I relised what was the point in spending £120 on two NUTRAL pallets when I have loads of nutral singles at home and all 3 Naked Pallets.

I decided I'm going to create pro pallets of my own! A natural everyday one, a smokey intense one and a crazy colourful one. I decided that because it's summer I'd make myself a fun colourful pallet. To do this I bought the pallet tray and insert and they came to about £20. Then I bought 10 crazy eyeshadow colours and depotted the 5 I had at home this came to £100 as an eyeshadow pan is £10 each.

When wanting to create your own pallet I highly suggest not just picking up random shadows! Choose the colours you want and have tired out then line them up in order of how you want your pallet to look. I suggest doing this because you can clearly see where the shadows will belong in the final product.

I had so much fun creating my custom pallet and luckily since I knew what I wanted the final product to look like creating my pallet couldn't of been easier. When creating a pro pallet I highly suggest doing some reserch and knowing what colours you want inside your pallet. This makes the process quicker and easier for you and the MAC staff.

From Left to Right the colours are-
Chrome Yellow, Paradisco, Rule, Passionate, Fig 1, Vibrant Grape, Stars'n'Rockets, Parfait Amour, Electric Eel, Moon's Refection, Aquadisiac, Swimming, Sumptuous Olive, Idol Eyes, Electra

Tanya Burr Cosmetics

I have read so many blogpost's about Tanya Burr's makeup line and I'm a little late on the craze. However, that's not stopping me on writing a little post on my thoughts about the line.

The colours are super pigmented and so glossy! They also smell like strawberry's and cream which is obviously a plus if you're a sucker for nice smelling makeup. The packaging is clear and rectangular with a black lid and sponge applicator. The glosses retail for £6.99 each.

I bought 6 out of the 12 lips glosses from superdrug in the 3 for 2 deal. I got a range of colours from pink-y nudes to a vampy red. The colours I bought are Champagne Toast, Afternoon Tea, Picnic in the Park, Aurora, Exotic Island and Vampire Kiss.

I didn't buy any of the nailpolish's but I really want to get Little Duck, Midnight Sparkles and Peaches and Cream. They look like stunning colours and have a super sing finish.  The polishes retail for £5.99 each.

I can't wait to get more of the Tanya Burr collection and I highly recommend you to get some yourself!

How do you Hoola?

Hey guys! Sorry I was MIA this past week but I haven't had access to a computer and I didn't realise I could use an iPad to write a blogpost! Who knew?

AnywayBenefit Cosmetics has been running an Instagram contest called #HowDoYouHoola where you can take a selfie with your own Hoola Bronzer where you can win a personalised Bronzer! I have always loved Hoola Bronzer and I live to wear it with Rockature Blush. The warm matte Bronzer works so well with the was Rose Gold blush. To top off the whole bronzed look Hoola Lipgloss just adds that perfect bronze-y Finnish to the How Do You Hoola look.

They also have a second contest where you re-post a picture to win all 4 new Benefit lipbalms. LoliBalm, PosieBalm, BeneBalm and ChaChaBalm. These lipbalms are exactly like the cheek stains but are fully designed for your lips and have a glossy balm finish.

Nails! Nails! Nails!

Happy Sunday! So for the past few days I've really been into painting my nails. Not really doing any fancy nail decals or designs, just a simple paint and I've fallen in love with some colours super pretty for spring, summer or whenever really.

Pastel colours will always be a favourite for spring and brighter neons will suit summer better, but, I've been mixing it up! Brights and pastels all season long! I love mint blue and green nails for spring and summer and my favourite polish's are OPI's gargantuan green grape. It's a creamy pale blue with cool mint green undertones making it quite unique and very pretty for the upcoming seasons. Another pretty pastel polish I've been loving is Topshop's flying saucer. It's a perfect lavender/lilic purple. It's a sheer polish and not very opec however the colour is build able with multiple coats.

More brighter vibrant colours I've been loving are Barry M's greenberry. It's a gelly hi-shine polish from Barry M so its super shiny and glossy.  The colour looks like a cool lime green in the bottle, but, on the nails its very viberent and opec. Another OPI polish in california raspberry is the perfect year long hot pink! It's a pure raspberry colour with some purple and blue undertones making it viberant but still wearable throughout the whole year. Last is an oldie but a goodie. It's Maybelline's forever strong nail paint in hot salsa. I bought this years ago and I should probably throw it away but the colour is summer in a bottle. It's a pure orange-y coral. Perfect for summertime but one I've worn a lot lately.

Who says you cant wear Neons in the spring and Pastels in the summer?

Spring/Summer Inspiration!

So, as I said in my last post Spring is definitely here and and summer is just around the corner so i'm going to give you some spring and summer inspiration!

Spring and summer are the time to get some colour in your life whether thats through your makeup or your fashion sence! It really isn't difficult to get a little more colourful and creative with your own style. First be inspired by the world around you! Whether thats runway shows, nature or your celebrity icon. If you like a look, recreate it to your own desire!

Right now celebrities such as Rihanna, Emma Roberts and Cara Delvingne are walking the red carpet with a simple crop top and high-waisted maxi skirts. I know this look is slightly harder to pull off but if you do, you can look great for spring and summer! Here I have found a more casual but still great Spring/Summer look from the highstreet.

Primark - £10

New Look - £17.99
ASOS - £15
This outfit costs under £45 and would look great with a tan brown bag, pair of sandals or white converse.

Another look seen on celebrities during spring 2014 is denim on denim. This can be worn by anyone and these pieces will most likely never go out of style. Denim shorts, playsuits, shirts and jackets are always in style!

Oasis - £35
Topshop - £65
H&M - £29.99
Since every girl should have a pair of denim jeans in their wardrobe I didn't think I needed to include them. A cute denim shirt or jacket would pair perfectly with some denim jeans in the spring and summer. The Topshop jumpsuit is on the price-y side but its a staple and can be worn all throughout the year! Pair any denim jumpsuit or playsuit with some colourful accessories and a pair of casual shoes and your set!

New Look - £5.99

New Look - £12.99

New Look - £12.99
As you can see floral is a huge trend, even in jewellery! These three necklaces are from New Look and they always have stunning accessories for spring and summer. Plus they would all look great with the denim jumpsuit.

So, there we go! Some Spring/Summer fashion inspiration all from the highstreet!

Spring Blushes

Hey there my lovelies! Today I'll be talking about Spring Blushes and what colours are perfect for the Springtime.

I know we are halfway through spring but we are out of that awkward stage where it's still chilly and it kind of feels like winter some days. Now, it's definitely feeling like spring and what better thing to do than to update your makeup looks?

Here are my favourite Spring Blushes for 2014!

1. Benefit's Dandelion
Dandelion from Benefit is a cult favourite for many makeup lovers. The classic box'd powder is in a slightly metallic green packaging with a simple Dandelion on the front. Each box'd powder has a small mirror and brush inside that lets be honest isn't the best. However the blush is a gorgeous spring colour! It's a soft pink colour with gold undertones and simmers throughout, this blush can go with any skin tone and will look beautiful.

2. M.A.C's Peacheykeen
M.A.C's Peachykeen was the second M.A.C blush I ever bought and its fair to say I love it! I'ts a sheer tone shimmer blush so it's perfect and lightweight on the skin throughout spring and summer. The colour is a dusty rose with gold and coral shimmers. The shimmers make it a perfect everyday blush colour that makes you look healthy and glowing.

3. Nars' Deep Throat
Okay so Nars are know for their orgasm blush but when I swatched it, it's nothing like you see on youtube or in blogs. In my opinion it's way to orange and the gold veining through it makes it look almost yellow… So I bought Deep Throat instead (inappropriate names, I know!) Deep Throat is exactly what I expected orgasm to be. Again its a soft pink with gold and silver shimmers, however it is a little sheer. The mixed tone shimmers make it unique to me and it has a very velvety texture. A great spring blush!

4. Sleek's Pomegranate
Pomegranate is a very deep pink with a blue and purple sheen. I bought this blush in the fall however it's sheer and when applied it didn't look the same as it is in the pan. I have been wearing it a lot lately and I feel it gives me such a nice flush to my cheeks that I wear it during the spring and summertime.

5. Maybelline's Fresh Pink Bouncy Blush
Unfortunately the bouncy blushes are only available in the US so I picked up a few on my last visit and fresh pink is a gorgeous spring colour! It has a creamy soft texture but the colour is 100% matte and I really love it if I'm going for a more natural look. It's another soft pink but I feel spring is the time for sheer soft colours on your cheeks with some subtle highlighting. Nothing too crazy.

Thats all from me, I hoped you enjoyed reading about my favourite spring blushes!

M.A.C lipsticks! Are they worth the money?

Good afternoon my loves, today's post is all about M.A.C lipsticks. The real question on everyones mind is… Are they worth the money?

When I bought my first M.A.C lipstick it was in the shade Bombshell. A soft pink with cool silver undertones. Fair to say I fell in love with it very quickly the only problem was it was a frost finish and it felt a little bit gritty on my lips and it didn't have a good staying power. However since it was my first one I didn't care about the staying power I just loved it!

Bombshell Frost Lipstick

Now in my collection I have about 16 M.A.C lipsticks and luckily I haven't found one I really don't like. I learned from my mistake and haven't bought another frost finish lipstick.

M.A.C lipsticks have a very unique packaging and they can be referred to 'Little black Bullet's' because of their unique shape. They come in so many colours that there is one for everyone and smell like Vanilla. There are many different finishes to M.A.C lipsticks including frost, matte, glaze, creamsheen, lustre and pro longwear. My favourite finishes are the creamsheen and glaze as they are so soft on the lips and have stunning colour payoff!

A drugstore lipstick had approx 3.5g but M.A.C lipsticks have approx 4g of product so you do get a little more for your money. Plus since they have great colour payoff you don't need to use as much product for each application.

To answer the question, are they worth the money? I say 100%, but if you are to anxious to buy one M.A.C lipsticks are completely dupable. You can find colours that are identical to M.A.C colours from your local drugstore and they are much cheaper. This could be a reason not to buy them. Why buy a £15 M.A.C one when you can get one from Rimmel that's exact same colour? In my opinion I prefer M.A.C ones but that doesn't stop me from getting gorgeous drugstore lippies for the fraction of the price!

Well I hope this helped some of you decide if you think a M.A.C lipstick is worth the money.

5 Cute and Easy ways to use a Jar

Okay, let's be real here. When you think of needing a little extra organisation on your vanity table the last thing we think of would be to use a glass jar. But, I'm here to share with you 5 Cute and Easy ways to use a jar for your vanity or just for a little bit more organisation in your life.

1. The Simple Jam or Mason Jar
I'm sure we've all seen pictures of mason jars all over the internet like Pinterest, Tumblr and Instagram. But here in the UK we don't get Mason jars so I'm substituting it for a jam jar. Just take a jam jar clean it out and fill the bottom of it with glass beads or even coloured tissue paper. Then what I like to do is fill it with makeup brushes or my chubby sticks. And then have it displayed on your vanity table. Super easy and practically free way of creating cute storage for your beauty bits and bobs.

2. Memory Jar
Throughout our lives we are constantly making memories and it's almost impossible to remember every little thing that happens to us. A memory jar is a fun way to keep our memories alive! I bought a really cute cupcake style jar from hobby craft for £5 and a pack of coloured post-it's. Every night just write a message, note or memory from the day fold it up and keep it in your jar. Voila you're done. A year later or 6 months later you can open up the jar and read through all of your memories that you possibly forgot.

3. The Cotton Jar
So a few days ago on a local selling page a lady had put up for sale 8 short round jars with a clasp on the side for £1 each! I went back to her and I ended up buying all 8. These jars are what I call the cotton jar. They are perfect size to hold cotton balls, cotton pads and cotton buds (Q-Tips). Small round jars are so easy to come across for really cheep prices. If you look in places like Hobby Craft or the home ware department of Next or Debenhams you can really find yourself a bargain.

4. Smelly Jar
When a candle is finished why should we throw away the jar? A candle jar from Yankee Candle or Bath and Bodyworks are the perfect size to create a new smelly jar, not necessarily for candles, but,  to create a little potpourri jar to fill your room with another new scent! Potpourri can be bought from many  stores and its quite inexpensive. Grab a bag that suits your style place it into your empty candle jar and you're done. The perfect smelly jar!

5. The Gift Jar
Jars can be used to have organisation and practical uses. The perfect gift idea for a Birthday, Mothers Day or Valentines Day is to decorate and fill a jar with things your friend or partner would love. Fill your jar with some tissue paper and confetti and the rest is up to you. Create a candy jar with all their favourite sweets. A makeup lovers dream jar with some nail polish a lipstick and a voucher for their favourite beauty store. Or for someone special you can fill your jar with a jewellery box and something that would make them smile.

Well there we go! 5 super simple ways to use your empty jars! I hope that helps with some practical uses for your glass wear.
