Nails! Nails! Nails!

Happy Sunday! So for the past few days I've really been into painting my nails. Not really doing any fancy nail decals or designs, just a simple paint and I've fallen in love with some colours super pretty for spring, summer or whenever really.

Pastel colours will always be a favourite for spring and brighter neons will suit summer better, but, I've been mixing it up! Brights and pastels all season long! I love mint blue and green nails for spring and summer and my favourite polish's are OPI's gargantuan green grape. It's a creamy pale blue with cool mint green undertones making it quite unique and very pretty for the upcoming seasons. Another pretty pastel polish I've been loving is Topshop's flying saucer. It's a perfect lavender/lilic purple. It's a sheer polish and not very opec however the colour is build able with multiple coats.

More brighter vibrant colours I've been loving are Barry M's greenberry. It's a gelly hi-shine polish from Barry M so its super shiny and glossy.  The colour looks like a cool lime green in the bottle, but, on the nails its very viberent and opec. Another OPI polish in california raspberry is the perfect year long hot pink! It's a pure raspberry colour with some purple and blue undertones making it viberant but still wearable throughout the whole year. Last is an oldie but a goodie. It's Maybelline's forever strong nail paint in hot salsa. I bought this years ago and I should probably throw it away but the colour is summer in a bottle. It's a pure orange-y coral. Perfect for summertime but one I've worn a lot lately.

Who says you cant wear Neons in the spring and Pastels in the summer?

Spring/Summer Inspiration!

So, as I said in my last post Spring is definitely here and and summer is just around the corner so i'm going to give you some spring and summer inspiration!

Spring and summer are the time to get some colour in your life whether thats through your makeup or your fashion sence! It really isn't difficult to get a little more colourful and creative with your own style. First be inspired by the world around you! Whether thats runway shows, nature or your celebrity icon. If you like a look, recreate it to your own desire!

Right now celebrities such as Rihanna, Emma Roberts and Cara Delvingne are walking the red carpet with a simple crop top and high-waisted maxi skirts. I know this look is slightly harder to pull off but if you do, you can look great for spring and summer! Here I have found a more casual but still great Spring/Summer look from the highstreet.

Primark - £10

New Look - £17.99
ASOS - £15
This outfit costs under £45 and would look great with a tan brown bag, pair of sandals or white converse.

Another look seen on celebrities during spring 2014 is denim on denim. This can be worn by anyone and these pieces will most likely never go out of style. Denim shorts, playsuits, shirts and jackets are always in style!

Oasis - £35
Topshop - £65
H&M - £29.99
Since every girl should have a pair of denim jeans in their wardrobe I didn't think I needed to include them. A cute denim shirt or jacket would pair perfectly with some denim jeans in the spring and summer. The Topshop jumpsuit is on the price-y side but its a staple and can be worn all throughout the year! Pair any denim jumpsuit or playsuit with some colourful accessories and a pair of casual shoes and your set!

New Look - £5.99

New Look - £12.99

New Look - £12.99
As you can see floral is a huge trend, even in jewellery! These three necklaces are from New Look and they always have stunning accessories for spring and summer. Plus they would all look great with the denim jumpsuit.

So, there we go! Some Spring/Summer fashion inspiration all from the highstreet!

Spring Blushes

Hey there my lovelies! Today I'll be talking about Spring Blushes and what colours are perfect for the Springtime.

I know we are halfway through spring but we are out of that awkward stage where it's still chilly and it kind of feels like winter some days. Now, it's definitely feeling like spring and what better thing to do than to update your makeup looks?

Here are my favourite Spring Blushes for 2014!

1. Benefit's Dandelion
Dandelion from Benefit is a cult favourite for many makeup lovers. The classic box'd powder is in a slightly metallic green packaging with a simple Dandelion on the front. Each box'd powder has a small mirror and brush inside that lets be honest isn't the best. However the blush is a gorgeous spring colour! It's a soft pink colour with gold undertones and simmers throughout, this blush can go with any skin tone and will look beautiful.

2. M.A.C's Peacheykeen
M.A.C's Peachykeen was the second M.A.C blush I ever bought and its fair to say I love it! I'ts a sheer tone shimmer blush so it's perfect and lightweight on the skin throughout spring and summer. The colour is a dusty rose with gold and coral shimmers. The shimmers make it a perfect everyday blush colour that makes you look healthy and glowing.

3. Nars' Deep Throat
Okay so Nars are know for their orgasm blush but when I swatched it, it's nothing like you see on youtube or in blogs. In my opinion it's way to orange and the gold veining through it makes it look almost yellow… So I bought Deep Throat instead (inappropriate names, I know!) Deep Throat is exactly what I expected orgasm to be. Again its a soft pink with gold and silver shimmers, however it is a little sheer. The mixed tone shimmers make it unique to me and it has a very velvety texture. A great spring blush!

4. Sleek's Pomegranate
Pomegranate is a very deep pink with a blue and purple sheen. I bought this blush in the fall however it's sheer and when applied it didn't look the same as it is in the pan. I have been wearing it a lot lately and I feel it gives me such a nice flush to my cheeks that I wear it during the spring and summertime.

5. Maybelline's Fresh Pink Bouncy Blush
Unfortunately the bouncy blushes are only available in the US so I picked up a few on my last visit and fresh pink is a gorgeous spring colour! It has a creamy soft texture but the colour is 100% matte and I really love it if I'm going for a more natural look. It's another soft pink but I feel spring is the time for sheer soft colours on your cheeks with some subtle highlighting. Nothing too crazy.

Thats all from me, I hoped you enjoyed reading about my favourite spring blushes!

M.A.C lipsticks! Are they worth the money?

Good afternoon my loves, today's post is all about M.A.C lipsticks. The real question on everyones mind is… Are they worth the money?

When I bought my first M.A.C lipstick it was in the shade Bombshell. A soft pink with cool silver undertones. Fair to say I fell in love with it very quickly the only problem was it was a frost finish and it felt a little bit gritty on my lips and it didn't have a good staying power. However since it was my first one I didn't care about the staying power I just loved it!

Bombshell Frost Lipstick

Now in my collection I have about 16 M.A.C lipsticks and luckily I haven't found one I really don't like. I learned from my mistake and haven't bought another frost finish lipstick.

M.A.C lipsticks have a very unique packaging and they can be referred to 'Little black Bullet's' because of their unique shape. They come in so many colours that there is one for everyone and smell like Vanilla. There are many different finishes to M.A.C lipsticks including frost, matte, glaze, creamsheen, lustre and pro longwear. My favourite finishes are the creamsheen and glaze as they are so soft on the lips and have stunning colour payoff!

A drugstore lipstick had approx 3.5g but M.A.C lipsticks have approx 4g of product so you do get a little more for your money. Plus since they have great colour payoff you don't need to use as much product for each application.

To answer the question, are they worth the money? I say 100%, but if you are to anxious to buy one M.A.C lipsticks are completely dupable. You can find colours that are identical to M.A.C colours from your local drugstore and they are much cheaper. This could be a reason not to buy them. Why buy a £15 M.A.C one when you can get one from Rimmel that's exact same colour? In my opinion I prefer M.A.C ones but that doesn't stop me from getting gorgeous drugstore lippies for the fraction of the price!

Well I hope this helped some of you decide if you think a M.A.C lipstick is worth the money.

5 Cute and Easy ways to use a Jar

Okay, let's be real here. When you think of needing a little extra organisation on your vanity table the last thing we think of would be to use a glass jar. But, I'm here to share with you 5 Cute and Easy ways to use a jar for your vanity or just for a little bit more organisation in your life.

1. The Simple Jam or Mason Jar
I'm sure we've all seen pictures of mason jars all over the internet like Pinterest, Tumblr and Instagram. But here in the UK we don't get Mason jars so I'm substituting it for a jam jar. Just take a jam jar clean it out and fill the bottom of it with glass beads or even coloured tissue paper. Then what I like to do is fill it with makeup brushes or my chubby sticks. And then have it displayed on your vanity table. Super easy and practically free way of creating cute storage for your beauty bits and bobs.

2. Memory Jar
Throughout our lives we are constantly making memories and it's almost impossible to remember every little thing that happens to us. A memory jar is a fun way to keep our memories alive! I bought a really cute cupcake style jar from hobby craft for £5 and a pack of coloured post-it's. Every night just write a message, note or memory from the day fold it up and keep it in your jar. Voila you're done. A year later or 6 months later you can open up the jar and read through all of your memories that you possibly forgot.

3. The Cotton Jar
So a few days ago on a local selling page a lady had put up for sale 8 short round jars with a clasp on the side for £1 each! I went back to her and I ended up buying all 8. These jars are what I call the cotton jar. They are perfect size to hold cotton balls, cotton pads and cotton buds (Q-Tips). Small round jars are so easy to come across for really cheep prices. If you look in places like Hobby Craft or the home ware department of Next or Debenhams you can really find yourself a bargain.

4. Smelly Jar
When a candle is finished why should we throw away the jar? A candle jar from Yankee Candle or Bath and Bodyworks are the perfect size to create a new smelly jar, not necessarily for candles, but,  to create a little potpourri jar to fill your room with another new scent! Potpourri can be bought from many  stores and its quite inexpensive. Grab a bag that suits your style place it into your empty candle jar and you're done. The perfect smelly jar!

5. The Gift Jar
Jars can be used to have organisation and practical uses. The perfect gift idea for a Birthday, Mothers Day or Valentines Day is to decorate and fill a jar with things your friend or partner would love. Fill your jar with some tissue paper and confetti and the rest is up to you. Create a candy jar with all their favourite sweets. A makeup lovers dream jar with some nail polish a lipstick and a voucher for their favourite beauty store. Or for someone special you can fill your jar with a jewellery box and something that would make them smile.

Well there we go! 5 super simple ways to use your empty jars! I hope that helps with some practical uses for your glass wear.
